Meirian is a Skills Development Lead (Services) at the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC). With over 10 years of experience in education, Meirian is committed to making an impact through empowering Australian research communities with a competitive advantage. Meirian delivers training and resources that support researchers to effectively leverage ARDC services.
At the ARDC --- Australia’s leading research data infrastructure facility --- we are accelerating Australian research and innovation by driving excellence in the creation, analysis and retention of high-quality data assets. We partner with the research community and industry to build leading-edge digital research infrastructure to provide Australian researchers with competitive advantage through data.
Previously, Meirian worked at the University of Melbourne as a Teaching Specialist in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, and a Digital Skills Trainer with the Melbourne Data Analytics Platform (MDAP). Her primary areas of interest include Data Analysis and Visualisation, Operations Research, Programming, and Statistics. She has also enjoyed running workshops on LaTeX, MATLAB, Python and R. Meirian loves teaching and is enthusiastic about enabling others to benefit from the skills that she teaches.
